Admission

The school admits children from the age of 5 up to 12, which is from reception class to standard 7.

Mount Pleasant school admits any child, regardless of how well prepared they were. The philosophy of the school was to make a difference in the child in addition to the child’s innate ability.

Irrespective of the child’s age, all children will be interviewed by the teachers before being offered a place at Mount Pleasant School. The results of each child’s interview will be used by these teachers to decide whether to place the child into the appropriate Standard. The decision that is made will be in the best interest of the child concerned. Important factors which will be looked at here include the child’s maturity and ability to use English language but the latter is not always essential.

It is most unlikely that a child, who will be over the age of 6 years, will be accepted into the Reception (Preparatory level).
